Make You Choose by Christine Rae Jones a review.

Make You Choose by Christine Rae-Jones

A vicious murder of an underworld character starts a chain of events that sees D.C.I. Nick Morgan embroiled in a third Gullhaven crime mystery following on from Make You Sorry and Make You Beg. Nick is soon tangling with a local organised crime family, who are not only engaged in their normal day-to-day criminality but also with feuds and disagreements within their family. The south coast is not somewhere that immediately springs to mind when considering organised crime but the criminals involved have moved to the area away from their northern roots and their home patch problems.

Complicating the investigation is Nick’s personal life which is in a tangled state, his teenage twins have problems not unconnected with the villains he is trying to bring to justice. An extra-marital relationship, his troubled relationship problems with his wife aggravated by his mother-in-law from hell, add to his family problems. This distraction, complicates Nick’s pursuit of the crime family.

This an excellently plotted story, a well written book that kept me turning the pages, I read it very quickly, it is the best book I have read in a long time. I can sum this book up in just two words, Bloody Brilliant.
